Stay

Downtown has a handful of hotels, from the historic Sitka Hotel to the larger Southeast Resort, plus kitchen suites, a waterfront lodge on Katlian and a few inns and B&Bs. Most offer airport shuttles.

Home / Stay

The Sitka Hotel is on lower Lincoln Street, the Southeast Resort (the old Westmark) is near Crescent Harbor, and the Longliner Lodge sits on the Katlian Street waterfront. Aspen Suites has 71 rooms, all with kitchens, the Longliner's 14 units come with The Galley restaurant, and the lodges and inn on Sawmill Creek Road are a short drive east. Most run shuttles to the airport on Japonski Island, and some meet the state ferry 7 miles north.

Walking map: the shuttle stop and downtown Sitka

The free shuttle from the cruise terminal stops at Harrigan Centennial Hall on Harbor Drive, and tenders land at Crescent Harbor beside it. St. Michael's Cathedral and Castle Hill are a few minutes west along Lincoln Street, the Russian Bishop's House is a few minutes east, and the totem trail in Sitka National Historical Park is about 15 to 20 minutes on foot at the east end of the street.
